Shehroze Kashif becomes the youngest Pakistani to climb Mount Everest

Lahore-based Shehroze Kashif is also the youngest Pakistani climber to
climb Pakistan’s fourth highest peak, Broad Peak (8047 meters high) at the age
of 19.

He used artificial oxygen to climb Broad Peak and Mount Everest.

Shehroze Kashif has been dubbed the ‘Broad Boy’ for leading a Broad
Pack at the age of 19.

Before, Samina Baig, the first Pakistani woman to climb Mount Everest,
was the youngest Pakistani climber to reach the world’s highest peak at the age
of 23.

Shehroze Kashif has been informing his fans through social media for
more than a month at Everest Base Camp in Nepal.

In an interview in February, he spoke in detail about climbing,
fitness, and financial spending to achieve big goals.

He said, “There is no competition between the level of training of
a cricketer and a climber, sometimes we have to climb for 26 hours at a time”.

Shehroze Kashif had said, “The strangest thing in the world is the
human brain. You can’t beat it. If your brain stops working at altitude, it’s a
big thing. You have to prepare yourself for such situations”.

In the same interview, he had said that he wanted to form a team with
Sajid Sadpara, the youngest climber to climb K2 at the age of 20.

Shehroze Kashif had said that if the government could give Rs 10
million to each cricketer, it could do anything.

At the age of 11, he climbed a 3,885-meter-high spider-pack, followed
by Moses’ Masala, which is 4,080 meters high.

Then, at the age of 14, he headed to the Gondgro La K2 base camp and
completed the Khurdopin Pass track at the age of 15.

He said, “I asked him to take a guide with him to the heights of
Shehroze’s first expedition and since then he has gone on all expeditions on
his own”.

Shehroze’s father said, “So far I have collaborated with Shehroze
and there has been a lot of response to his success. He is probably the most
popular Pakistani mountaineer after Muhammad Ali Sadpara”.
