Babar Azam’s 6th Position In ICC Test Rankings

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest
rankings after the third match of the ongoing Test series between England and
India.

Pakistan’s Babar Azam is among the top 10 batsmen.

According to a statement issued by the ICC, India’s Rohit Sharma
improved six places to make it into the top 10 for the first time.

Rohit Sharma has moved up to eighth position in the latest rankings.
Earlier, India had beaten England by 10 wickets in the third Test to take a 1-2
lead in the series.

Rohit Sharma scored 66 in the first innings and scored an unbeaten 25
in the second innings to increase the number of rating points to 742 from 722
earlier.

Axel Patel and spinner Ravi Chandran Eshwan, who were declared the best
players of the match against England, also improved their position in the
rankings where they played an important role in giving victory to the team.

Axel Patel moved up 30 places to 38th position while Ashwin moved up to
third position in the bowlers’ list.

England spinner Jack Leach, on the other hand, joined the top 30 for
the first time and finished 28th, taking 4 wickets, while Joe Root, who took 5
wickets, moved up to 72nd.

Among Test batsmen, New Zealand captain Ken Williamson is first,
Australia’s Steve Smith is second, Leiboshigne is third and England captain
Jorot is fourth.

India captain Virat Kohli moved up to fifth position, followed by Babar
Azam, while New Zealand’s Henry Nichols finished seventh with 747 points.

In bowling, Pat Cummins of Australia, Neil Wagner of New Zealand,
Ashwin of India are third, Josh Hazelwood of Australia is fourth and Tim
Southee of New Zealand is fifth.

There is no Pakistani player in the top 10 bowlers, similarly no
Pakistani player failed to make a place in the top 10 all-rounders.

West Indies’ Jason Holder is the best all-rounder in Test cricket, followed by India’s Ravindra Jadeja at number two, England’s Ben Stokes at number three, Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan at number four and India’s Ashwin at number five.
