At the start of the match, Marnus
Labuschagne, who scored 44 runs on a total score of 97, returned to the
pavilion, which was bowled by Shaheen Afridi.

Australian captain Pat Cummins
declared Australia’s second innings unexpected after Marnus Labuschagne was
dismissed.

Hassan Ali and Shaheen Afridi
took one wicket each in the second innings for Pakistan.

Chasing a big target of 506 runs,
Pakistan’s second innings started worse than the first innings and Imam-ul-Haq
became Nathan Lane’s wicket after scoring just one run.

Azhar Ali and Abdullah Shafiq
shared 19 runs off 99 balls, Azhar had to bear the brunt of being overly
defensive in the event of losing a wicket.

Azhar Ali tried to bounce Chris
Green’s short pitch ball but the ball did not bounce as expected and hit his
arm in front of the wickets on which the umpire declared him out.

Azhar Ali did not take the review
but he could have survived if he had done so because the ball hit his arm after
hitting his gloves.

After losing two wickets for 21
runs, Babar Azam came to support Abdullah Shafiq and both of them started
batting and moving the score forward.

Both the players completed the
team’s century and did not allow any wicket to fall till the tea break.

In the next session also, both
the players played responsibly and did not allow any wicket to fall. Meanwhile,
Abdullah Shafiq completed his fifty while Babar scored a century while batting
relatively fast.

Earlier, at the end of the third
day of the second match of the Test series, Australia strengthened their grip
in the second Test of the series by taking a total lead of 489 runs for the
loss of one wicket.

Australia started the second
innings after the entire Pakistan team was bowled out for 148 runs.
