Dua Zehra is 15 to 16 years old,
Medical Board report submitted to court
The Medical Board, set up to
determine the age of Dua Zehra, has submitted its report to the court in which
the medical board unanimously stated about the age of Dua Zehra for about 15
years.
In the court of Judicial
Magistrate Sharaqi in Karachi, the principal of Dow Medical College submitted a
cell pack report to the court of Judicial Magistrate Sharaqi Aftab Ahmed
Bagheo.
According to a report submitted
to the Dua Zehra court, she was presented to the Special Medical Board on July
2, 2022, to determine the age of Dua Zehra, in which X -rays were made of
various organs of her body.
The Medical Board said in their
report that after physical examination, Dua Zehra is between 14 and 15 years.
The 10 -member special medical
board, headed by Dr. Saba Sohail, Principal of Dow Medical College, concluded
that Dua Zehra is between 15 and 16 years old and is closer to 15 years.
Remembered that Dua had taken the
stand that she was 18 years old and claimed that she had voluntarily married
Zaheer Ahmed, while Dua’s father had said that her daughter is 14 years old.
Dua’s father Syed Mehdi Kazmi’s
lawyer, Jibran Nasir, confirmed that the medical report has been reported in
the medical report about 15 years, so the girl’s statements have proved false.
Earlier, the medical test
conducted on the orders of the Sindh High Court determined that the Dua was 17
years old.
Jibran Nasir pointed out that
today’s medical report supports the parents’ position of Dua, and that the case
comes to the forefront of abduction.
He further said the law also says
that marrying under the age of 16 is wrong and marrying a girl under the age of
16 is against the law.
Dua Zehra Case:
It may be recalled that on April
16 this year, a 14 -year -old girl from the Golden Town area of Karachi
disappeared, after which police raided various places to search for her, but
police failed to find Dua Zehra.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad
Ali Shah took notice of the abduction of Dua Zehra and sought a report from
Additional IG Karachi.
The Sindh government was facing
severe criticism due to the Dua Zehra missing case and questions were being
raised by various constituencies on the performance of the provincial
government.
However, during a press
conference on April 25, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah confirmed that
Dua Zehra had been traced, she is well.
On April 26, Punjab Police
received Dua Zehra Okara, after which they were produced in a magistrate court
in Lahore. At the same time, it was found that Dua Zehra had married a boy
named Zaheer.
The magistrate rejected the
request of the police to send Dua Zehra to Darul Aman and declared them an
independent citizen.
In addition, Dua Zehra record a
video message in which she said, ‘My family wanted to marry someone else and no
one kidnapped me, I would like my own. I have come and married Zaheer with my
choice.
