Molana Tariq Jameel | Nara/Azarband Rs:550?

Molana Tariq Jameel’s brand explanation on the ongoing criticism on
social media

Leading religious scholar Molana Tariq Jameel introduced the apparel
brand ‘MTJ’, which was launched under his name in April, and a few days ago he
inaugurated its first store in Karachi.

However, since the inauguration of the MTJ store, Molana Tariq Jameel
has also faced severe criticism from social media users.

Due to a large number of people at the opening of their store, the
event is also being blamed for the spread of Corona.

When the MTJ store opened on the afternoon of April 26, it was reported
that the prices of the brand’s products were between Rs 2,000 and Rs 5,000,
depending on the general market.

However, people later complained that the clothes of their brand are as
expensive as other big brands.

Not only that but after that, a picture of an armband with MTJ logo on
various social media sites started going viral on social media which was said
to be priced at Rs 550.

In this regard, social media users again objected to Molana Tariq
Jameel’s brand and made various comments and he was severely criticized.

Social media users also raised the question of how it is possible to
sell a Rs 10 item for Rs 550.

However, the image went viral in a statement from MTJ following
widespread criticism on social media.

The statement was released on official accounts by Molana Tariq
Jameel’s brand in Urdu and English.

“The MTJ brand denies the allegation that the brand is making and
selling an Azarband, valued at Rs 550,” the statement said.

Earlier in March, pictures of the car with special number plate MTJ1
were going viral on social media, to which Molana Tariq Jameel later reacted to
a picture of a luxury car attributed to him.

It may be recalled that Molana Tariq Jameel has been facing severe
criticism since the decision to set up a business brand named after him.
