Pakistan Squad Leaves for South Africa for T20 and ODI series

Pakistan’s
ODI and T20 team left for Johannesburg today on a special flight for a tour of
South Africa.

Pakistan’s 34-member squad for ODI, T20 and Test matches left for
Johannesburg on a chartered flight on Friday.

Currently, only the White Ball squad is leaving for the tour of South
Africa, after which 10 members of the Test squad will leave for Zimbabwe on
April 12.

Pakistani Coach Misbah-ul-Haq

Speaking at an online press conference yesterday, head coach
Misbah-ul-Haq had said that the good news is that the tests of all the players,
including Hassan Ali, are clear, so everyone is available for the important
series in South Africa and is traveling.

He said that in the days of this epidemic, it is very difficult for the
players to play in the bio-secure bubble and it is a good thing that they are
ready to play while understanding their social and moral responsibility.

No compromise on fitness in selection of team for South Africa tour, Misbah

The head coach of the national team has said that no compromise was
made on fitness while selecting the team for the tour of South Africa and
Sharjeel Khan was included in the team with the opinion of all.

Addressing an online press conference before the national team’s tour
of South Africa, Misbah-ul-Haq said that the good news is that the tests of all
the players, including Hassan Ali, are clear, so everyone is available for the
important series in South Africa.

He said that in the days of this epidemic, it is very difficult for the
players to play in the bio-secure bubble and it is a good thing that they are
ready to play while understanding their social and moral responsibility.

He said overseas series, including Australia, New Zealand, England and
South Africa, are not easy, but after the last few series we have played, the
team is confident of winning, maintaining that continuity.

In response to a question, he said that first of all it is important to
understand that the selection of Sharjeel in the team gives the impression that
Sharjeel Khan came in the team without our consent, maybe the captain or the
coach does not agree. This impression is completely wrong and Sharjeel’s team
has had regular discussions before the selection, we all agreed on his
selection.

He said we have not compromised on fitness but we have to take Sharjeel
to this level of fitness and the quality of the team and soon you will see his
fitness improving.
