PSL 6: Server down as soon as the ticket booking starts
February 17, 2021The website server went down as soon as the online ticket sales for the
sixth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) started.
Ticket prices for league matches were announced yesterday after the
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) decided to allow 20 per cent of spectators from
the National Command and Operations Center to enter the stadium.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had said in a statement issued
yesterday that the ticket prices for the PSL qualifier, both elements and the
final would be announced later.
Tickets for the event’s league matches for cricket fans can be
purchased at (bookme.pk). However, due to server downtime, fans are having
difficulty selling tickets online.
The minimum ticket price for the opening match of PSL is Rs. 2,000 and
maximum Rs. 5,000.
An ID card and mobile number must be provided to purchase tickets
online.
It should be noted that PSL 6 will start from February 20 at the
National Stadium Karachi and the final of the event will be played on March 22
in Lahore.
On February 4, the Pakistan Cricket Board announced that the National
Command and Operations Center (NCOC) had allowed spectators to enter the
stadiums during the HBL Pakistan Super League 2021.
It was decided that 20% of the spectators would be allowed to enter the
stadiums during the league matches
According to the decision, a total of 7,500 spectators at the National
Stadium in Karachi and a total of 5,500 spectators at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore
will now be able to sit in the stadium and enjoy live action.
In the meantime, the two bodies, the NCOC and the Pakistan Cricket
Board, will continue to jointly monitor the situation.
After which it will be considered whether to increase the number of
spectators for the three playoff matches and the final.
In this regard, the Pakistan Cricket Board had given a detailed
briefing to the NCOC, in which it was clarified that the organizers of the
event and the PCB.
During the matches, the spectators sitting in the stands will be
required to fully comply with the government-developed Cove 19 protocols and
social distance guidelines.
