The 62nd meeting of the Board of Governors (BOG) of the Pakistan
Cricket Board was held on Saturday, April 10, through a virtual session.
A statement issued by the PCB after the meeting said that the BOG was
constituted under the direction of Chairman PCB Ehsan Mani to review the
biosecure protocols and by-laws of HBLPSL 2021. A presentation based on the
report of the member fact-finding committee was given.
After a detailed review of the report, the BOG expressed frustration
over the shortcomings in the report and directed that appropriate steps be
taken to improve it.
The BOG endorsed all the recommendations made by the Fact-Finding
Panel, including the implementation of coherent and strict protocols, in which
zero action was taken against all violators of the coronavirus SOPs for the
health and safety of the participants. This includes adopting a tolerance
policy.
BOG has been informed that Pakistan Cricket Board wants to hold the
remaining matches of HBLPSL 2021 in a safe environment.
